Stitchwork is a qualitative analysis tool that helps researchers analyse interviews faster, without compromising on rigour.

Who I am, and why I built this
My name is Jake McCann. I founded Stitchwork after spending over a decade running research interviews at organisations including The Economist, the Government Digital Service, and the National Health Service.
I always struggled to get the balance right between speed and rigour. Too often it meant late nights trying to pull together last-minute insights from tens of thousands of words of data. I was never satisfied with qualitative analysis tools that were too clunky to speed me up, or too shallow to help me with rigour. The dawn of AI-powered tools, in my view, unfortunately hasn’t changed this.
